DREAMjunction is a multi-sensory intuitive dance retreat,
inspiring power and freedom
from within.

Celebrate strength of the human spirit, in a commUnity journey.

When: Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 4-10 pm

Where: Beach United Church, Toronto

What to expect:

DREAMjunction is a practice which integrates intuitive dance, visual arts, breathwork, nutrition, and conscious relating.

Upon arrival we will offer you our ‘Symbio Expander’ — a body energizing, heart expanding elixir. This will be Lovingly prepared by the talented global chef Doris Fin, who will also be curating dinner for later. Once we close the doors at 4:30pm, Trish will ground you into the space with a heart-centred meditation and land acknowledgment to begin your journey. Then we will be guided through a powerful breathwork session by Ariel, followed by a conscious relating exercise. This will allow for a more embodied experience as we flow into our 90-minute intuitive dance journey with audiovisual art masterfully mixed by Christian. This multi-sensory experience curated by Christian and Trish will immerse you in a space of wonder and self-exploration. We will close our ceremony with a return to breath awareness, gratitude meditation, and closing circle. Following this we have the Symbio Social where we will share nourishing food; have the option to showcase creative projects and performances; laugh; network; and connect! More info below.

Two moments from
at Soulshine Festival:

Symbio Sound System

This custom configuration delivers pure music energy, rather than the sound of a sound system, trying to make sound.
Your organism will reel in ecstasy!

Audiovisual Journey

Cinema quality projection; uniquely inspiring visuals, integrated with music;
harnessing a range of genres;
masterfully mixed by Christian Zero.

Symbio Expander

A pre-dance delight designed to nourish your DREAMjunction experience. This grounding, heart-opening elixir is prepared with Love, intentionality, and nutrient dense ingredients.

Breathwork Meditation

Guided deep breath work session that will allow you to break through mental barriers to reach deeper layers of your self. These journeys can help process emotional blocks, ignite deeper self awareness, and invite meaningful breakthroughs. Breath is life!

A Space Made Sacred

This is a safe container of non-judgement and inclusion for healing and expansion. We feel radical self-acceptance is essential for a thriving life. We facilitate this by supporting freedom of expression, self-exploration, communion with the environment, and our commUnity. For people who are camera shy, we have a “zone unseen” for you.

Intuitive Dance

Our hosts will be supporting you to tap into the innate wisdom of your body. This practice is about letting primal forces of the universe move through your organism; allowing your being to move however it feels called, even if that means laying down for 20 minutes! Intuitive dance is for mental, emotional, and physical healing. Intuitive dance is for spiritual well-being. Intuitive dance is for JOY!
What else are we here for?!?

Nourishing Dinner Option

Food has the power to heal and nourish the body, soul, and mind. With holistic nutrition as one of our core modalities we are offering a nutritious and delicious meal to enjoy during the social. This will include a warming coconut curry (choice of vegan or lamb) with rice; mixed greens & veggie salad with Italian balsamic dressing; Fincicles for dessert,
a true “treat” for the body.
Select Wristband “With Dinner”.

Some unique content may be shared in the space, along with creative contributions from the Symbio Community Showcase [see below]. “It’s hard to put this incredible experience into words and to describe how elevated I feel right now; my heart is SO full of unconditional love, joy and gratitude; I feel SO present, free, connected and SO at peace. The combination of the ecstatic dance with the breathwork is very powerful, transforming and healing. During the ecstatic dance I experienced a profound release; I felt free and powerful. The transition to the breathwork was just divine; by the first round, I was out of my body. This whole experience is out of this world!! I am very grateful for being part of the Symbio community and being around these amazing people!” -Mariana Potero

“…it fills my heart, makes me feel amazing, recharges me,
sends me home ready to tackle life again…”
– Heather Doherty

“So grateful for the Symbio Community! These events created by Trish and Christian are overflowing with passion.
To be in this community where one’s creative expression can be explored and acknowledged
is liberating and beautiful.”
– Liz Defreitas

“There are not many opportunities to connect or create connection outside your immediate clique. The retreat facilitated that in a meaningful way and short period, almost like an awakening for something you didn’t realize you need. I see the potential for Symbio to provide a new structure for meaningful community that so many people desire.” -Wesley S.

Christian is passionate about creating profound immersive experiences for people. With a reverence for design in the broadest sense, his particular area of work integrates music, storytelling, ecology, “synaesthetics” and dance.

“The practice of ‘stepping back’ to feel out my own intentions has been a purifying gift, which keeps on giving. It reminds me of this desire to nourish in others the most magnificent of feelings!”

Versed in an array of technology, Christian began performing with some of the first real-time audio-video performance systems. He was fortunate to have worked with a number of prominent brands at a young age, performing at the launch of HBO Canada, and the first Nuit Blanche to be held in Toronto. This lead to supporting various corporate event productions for brands like National Geographic, Yahoo, Heineken, and holding residencies at some of Toronto’s biggest Nightclubs (Lucid, Muzik). Christian then created an interactive ‘choose-your-own-adventure’ DVD in 2006, which earned him a scholarship to The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). While centred in the department of Film, Video, New Media, and Animation (FVNMA), he utilized the multi-disciplinary freedom made available at SAIC to pursue courses in the Humanities; Animation; and Performance.

After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Christian worked on concert visuals for the Toronto summer series ‘Electric Island’. There, he was fortunate to support the performances of artists like Sven Väth, Maya Jane Coles, and Dixon, while experimenting with his own custom performance technology called ‘Gysr’ (geyser). This is a software interface which facilitates mapping aesthetic natural language to media and information, for flexible retrieval in a live setting. Continuing its development, Christian founded a creative collective called INNERST8, who put forth a number of productions prioritizing mixed media. This involved collaboration with artists of varied discipline, including Paul Kwitek; Petar Dundov; Stephanie Payne; and Natasha Kudashkina. Further inspired by holistic health modalities, and an ongoing environmentalist drive, the vision for Symbio was born.

Trish creates safe and sacred spaces of non-judgement for radical self-expression and self-acceptance. She is a maternal soul doing the work to live her human experience to the fullest. She loves dancing, singing, food, and communing with nature. As a holistic health and wellness practitioner since 2015, most of her work has involved supporting women seeking mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being. She does this using an array of holistic lifestyle practices and modalities including nutrition, ecstatic dance, breathwork, and neurolinguistic studies. “The greatest love story we will ever be a part of is the one which leads us back to our own heart.” – Trish Trish hosts transformational events, including retreats, ecstatic dances, and sacred healing ceremonies. Her experience includes one-on-one client coaching and a foundational 12-week online program to empower women.  Her path was inspired by a desire to heal her body and mind after years of neglect and depletion. This all came to the surface after the birth of her youngest son. Once she began her healing journey she felt a deep calling to support others on their own journeys. “When holding space, I intuitively provide what is needed for my clients to feel seen, heard, and supported on all levels. My purpose and passion in this life is to be of service through the supreme state of Love. All the years of work I’ve invested into creating a magnanimous life are culminating in the work I’m doing through Symbio.” -Trish

Ariel creates a safe space and inspires you to dive into the subconscious and connect with your true essence. Through his breathwork facilitation and coaching, he creates experiential opportunities for people to explore their inner reality, and strengthen their intuition. His pallet of tools includes the use of the breath, music, instruments, meditation, and integration exercises. People have shared having had powerful releases of trapped emotional energy through Ariels work. It is common for people to experience such intense emotion that tears flow, yet even more common is a sense of fulfillment upon completion, lightness, and immense gratitude. Some have even expressed how breathwork provided more insight and clarity into their lives than plant medicine teachers like Psilocybin and Ayahuasca.

Doris Fin

Global Chef Doris’ fascination with food and cooking began at the curious age of seven. At the age of eighteen, she began travelling to explore various cultures and cuisines, including Israel, India, Thailand, Iceland, Italy, Bali, Hawaii, Laos, Ecuador, Peru, Costa Rica and many others. This allowed her to expand her palate and develop her craft. Doris’ passion is fuelled by gathering fresh ingredients to create delicious and nutritious meals, then feasting with others, family style.

While cooking and foraging with various chefs and seasoned foodies and foragers, Doris has garnered a joy for cooking with quality, local, and seasonal ingredients. Through her interactive cooking classes, creative dinner events, and wholesome catered wellness retreats, she makes things fun while educating palates to appreciate natural flavours.

Doris encourages people to connect with themselves, to really understand and explore what they individually require for their body and mind to thrive, rather than follow trends and dogmas. She speaks about the importance of supporting and building relationships with local food producers, and really getting to know your food, from farm to fork. Doris believes unity and connection is better cultivated when we know how, and by whom our food is grown.

After more than two decades of cooking; traveling; teaching hundreds of people; and feeding thousands, Doris has made it her mission to help people rediscover their love for real cooking.

Locally grown and happily raised ingredients play a major role in her menu development, for which Doris continually searches out the freshest and best ingredients. If she’s not buying directly from the farm or picking from the forest and garden, you’ll find her hopping around farmers markets, joyously discovering new ingredients to experiment with.

Chef Doris also sells her organic frozen treats, including Fin cakes and Fincicles, the “ice cream bar” version of Fin cakes. They happen to be dairy-free, egg-free, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free, and come in many flavours! You’ll get to experience these treats at NEXTchapter.

This is a space for body-soul-mind
expansion and exploration,
therefore we are
only offering enough wristbands
to honour your experience.

DREAMjunction is a container within which we will celebrate; heal; and acknowledge all that is sacred. We will dream together to create a loving, thriving, beautiful reality.

Symbio is an embodied commUnity, dedicated to actualizing a profoundly symbiotic humanity. If you feel resonance, we look forward to creating synergy with you.
