What is the Red Tent?
The Red Tent Women’s Circle is a gathering of women who are in need of rest, reflection and support. It is a timeless tradition observed by ancient cultures which serves as a safe space for empowering women’s sense of selfhood.
We are opening up the sacred dialogue of women. We are the spirit of the world and it’s time to have our spirits lifted by one another. We need Red Tent gatherings so women can come together to listen and to hear each other. The way it’s meant to be.
A safe and
sacred space
of non-judgement.
Your life, your story, and your dreams, are important. What you hold in your heart is treasured and cherished.
We know you are tired.
Come and be seen, heard, held, and Loved in a safe and sacred space of non-judgement.
Come as you are.
You are enough.
Women’s Red Tent gatherings have been a tradition in many cultures around the world. This tradition was originated by indigenous peoples and has been practiced for centuries. The indigenous refer to it as a moon lodge ceremony because of the powerful energy Grandmother Moon has on women during our menstruation cycles.
Women’s circles have become more commonly practiced in recent years. These circles are safe containers for women to deepen the bonds of sisterhood. They commune with one another about spirituality, sexuality, any intimate thoughts and feelings they are experiencing or any traumas that need healing. If a woman feels called to share the other women hold space for her. Whether for support or celebration or acknowledgment. This is a potent practice, and many women feel profound healing after sharing in a safe and sacred space, of non-judgement.
It's Time.
A women’s circle is a time to nurture yourself and prioritize your needs. If you feel disconnected from women in your life or need a safe space to share with others, a women’s circle can be a healing experience for you. If you are looking to deepen your relationship with the feminine and the cycles of the moon, a women’s circle is also a wonderful space for this to transpire.
It’s time to make the decision to disconnect in order to reconnect on a deeper level. A women’s circle is an ancient, sacred space where you connect with the women who have come before you and pave the way for women who will come after you.

“Creativity is a magical way of being. It aligns us to the emotional intelligence and loving essence of the heart. By flowing and playing with this energy we open ourselves up to a greater awareness. It’s not just about creating something material but how we can be present in this energy and reconnect to our sense of receiving.” – Liz Defreitas
The sisterhood is waiting to welcome you with open arms and open hearts.
We will gather monthly to honour this beautiful tradition.

The Red Tent movement is about creating regular feminine spaces for women to share their stories, rest, and gain strength to meet the challenges of our time and their daily lives. This is work that we believe will make a difference not only to women themselves but also to all the people around them. The simple act of creating safe and empowering feminine spaces is life and world changing work.”
